A great four years!
August 13th, 2010 . by adminFive days before the start of the season, with all preparations completed and a new manager will have to come in and start a fresh. It would be like if the manager of Horizon water coolers left his job tomorrow, other employees would still know what to do but the minute a new boss came in everything would change. For example whoever the new boss is may want the newly designed website for water coolers and drinking fountains changed to something different again. So whoever takes over as the new Aston Villa manger has got one of the hardest jobs going. Not only does he have to turn the fans around, who were big Martin O’Neil supporters but he has to try and convince the players (a lot of whom are only there because of O’Neil) that he is the right man for the job and can take the club forward. This is going to be difficult with the likes of Ashley Young. However there will be some players that are over the moon at the departure of O’Neil. Luke Young, possibly the best right back in the country being one of them as he had a falling out with O’Neil and was dropped from the team at the end of last season. Overall I think over the four years that Martin O’Neil was at the club he did a fantastic job, and should be thanked for his efforts, however not even he can deny that the timing of his exit is among one of the worst ever.
